Hi there, my name's Mohan, I'm 19 and I work for St John Ambulance (SJA) as a volunteer first aider.
In this blog I will be telling you about what my role as a volunteer medic is, what I do when I go out on duty and about what SJA does as a voluntary ambulance service.
I will also be telling you about the importance of first aid and how it really is the difference between a life saved and a life lost. 140 000 deaths last year could have been prevented if fist-aid was known. This is my way of helping to reduce the number of deaths that could have been prevented had the person near them known first-aid.
